Host Kevin Boucher talks with the rock and roll artists and eyewitnesses to the music and moments that have helped shape our lives. A combination of interviews and music, special guests will share their first-hand accounts and shine new light on the artists, albums, venues or trends that defined the spirit of rock and roll culture.
This show is a survey of American roots music with heavy doses of new grass along with alternative country and folk. A particular emphasis is placed on local artists, venues and festivals. “Roots and More”, hosted by Bill Madden, features Americana music. This includes, but is not limited to, bluegrass, blues, folk, cajun, zydeco, alternative country, and alternative rock. Playlists for the show can include music from as far back as the 1950s, but new artists and new releases are featured during broadcasts in the hope that listeners will discover, and enjoy, some music that they maybe haven’t heard before.
